Ha ha, you thought this was dead, didn't you?

Well, first, first_seventhe and I have been kind of busy. I'm an aerospace engineering student, she's a chemical engineer, we get busy sometimes. No, we're not kidding. XD Plus there hasn't been too much activity and the usual Monday Updates were getting kind of repetitive and annoying. I'm sure some of you filtered this out of your main reading filter on your f-list for a while. Shame on you. Ok not.

But! Exciting Things (tm) are afoot.

I'm sure that some of you have seen the whispers of the thing called Dreamwidth around. Some of you are annoyed, thinking "oh god, another crappy LJ clone?". Some of you are confused. Some are intrigued. Since I just got an account there today I'm probably not the best spokesperson (and Sev has one too, ha ha we are so trendy). So I'll just pull this nice article from Firefox News. Here's the scoop.

What does this mean? It probably means some of you have profiles to update! I know Sev and I do!

But this also means discussions. Do you think there should be a fandom presence on Dreamwidth? Would you want to run communities there? Is this all a pipe dream?

Have at it. The purpose of this comm was to keep sort of a running FF fandom address book. And I think it's done decently. Even if I end up having to hand over modship (likely, I'm at the end of my college career and it's getting full of crazy), I still like the idea.

Discussions may result in POLLS later! Exciting!

Took a hiatus without announcing it, as both the mods were crazy with the holidays and stuff. But we're back on normal work/school schedules. Not that there were any requests during break. SO! Still alive. Nothing new to report. New Years Resolution: update your profile! Pester your friends! YOU CAN.

Also, since there was crazy talk of LJ wigging out again, back up your journals! There are handy tools like ljarchive to facilitate this.
